Prioritise your Health & Wellbeing
Are you interested in learning about your health, getting active with a range of fun workouts, making new friends and being involved in your local community? Then Daughters of the West is for you!
Facilitated by the Western Bulldogs Community Foundation in partnership with local councils and community health services across western Victoria, Daughters of the West is a free 10-week health program commencing mid July 2022.
What’s involved?
The program runs for 10 weeks; each week goes for 2 hours. The first hour you’ll hear from a different expert on a range of health topics. After that we’ll get into physical activity. Most sessions have three levels of intensity to choose from each week:
- Getting Active – for those women with injuries, haven’t exercised in a while or are still finding their feet. This group do low intensity exercise.
- Active – for women with a base level of fitness, this group will do something different each week – anything from Tai Chi to yoga to netball – this group will support each other to try everything!
- Active Advanced – for women that exercise regularly, this group will be put through their paces by our personal trainers and get a high intensity work out.

“The program itself motivated me to be happy, the exercises kept me healthy and the most important thing for me was making friends; having someone to hang out with, sharing laughs and joy with many likeminded women”. Nuong Huynh, DOTW past participant
