The Western Bulldogs have made three changes ahead of Saturday night’s clash against Geelong at GMHBA Stadium.

Backman Caleb Daniel bolsters the lineup after being named to return from a knee injury against the Cats.

    14:22

The 26-year-old has missed the past month of footy due to a locked knee and will be a welcome return to defence.

Adam Treloar will miss the fixture after failing to shake a calf complaint sustained in last week’s win over Melbourne.

Robbie McComb comes into the starting 22 after being named sub last week, while Zaine Cordy returns to the side.

Alex Keath and Lachlan McNeil have been omitted.

Stefan Martin, Lachlan McNeil, Alex Keath and Luke Cleary have been listed as emergencies.

    04:27

Reliable utility Bailey Williams will play his 100th game for the club, playing a key role in the teams resurgence this season.

One of the four will be confirmed as this week’s medical substitute an hour before the first bounce.

Channel 7 and Fox Footy will broadcast the game live.

AFL REPORT | Dogs overrun by Cats in Geelong

The Western Bulldogs have fallen short to a Geelong avalanche at GMHBA Stadium on Saturday night.

The Western Bulldogs have fallen short to a Geelong avalanche at GMHBA Stadium on Saturday night.

An eight-goal third quarter was the catalyst for the home side, with the Bulldogs unable to slow the momentum of their run and the home crowd.

Despite leading by 11-points at half-time, the visitors were overrun eventually falling 14.10 (94) to 9.12 (60).

Ed Richards was a shining light for the Dogs, collecting 28 disposals and eleven marks in a strong performance.

Josh Dunkley grabbed 24 touches and two goals in another prominent display for the visitors.

Bailey Dale and Marcus Bontempelli tried hard for the Dogs, while Tom Liberatore did his best to curtail the powerful Geelong midfield.

Cody Weightman kicked three goals and provided a spark up front again for the red, white and blue.

The game started at a frenetic pace with the Dogs kicking the first four goals of the contest, leading the Cats by 19-points at the early break.

A lovely set shot early in the second from Ugle-Hagan pushed the lead out beyond four goals, before the home side took over, piling on three successive goals to finish the second half.

The third and fourth quarter was all the Cats, kicking ten goals to one in a dominant second half.

The Bulldogs will next face Fremantle on Saturday afternoon at Marvel Stadium.
