Western Bulldogs defender Rory Lobb has signed a contract extension, keeping him at the Kennel until the end of 2027.

Having made a prolific start to this year’s campaign, Lobb has been a mainstay in the Dogs’ line-up, with his versatility to play at either end of the ground a key asset.

He has averaged 12 disposals, four marks and six spoils from his nine games this season, quickly becoming a fan favourite among the Bulldogs’ faithful.

It’s welcome reward for the 32- year-old, who was already contracted for next season.

“Rory has continued to play a crucial role for our team, particularly since his move to defence late last season," Executive Manager – Men’s Football Sam Power said.

“He continues to show his trademark ability to compete in the air and take contested marks, while showing durability and consistency as a key position player.

“Rory will do anything for the team, moving to either end of the ground at different stages in 2025 due to injury or necessity.

“We look forward to having Rory in red, white and blue for the next two seasons.”

Lobb has played 45 games in the red, white and blue since arriving via the 2022 Trade Period.

He has accumulated 185 AFL appearances (74 games for GWS and 66 for Fremantle) across his 12-year career thus far.
