The Western Bulldogs have bolstered their defensive stocks for Friday night’s blockbuster clash with reigning premier Brisbane at the Gabba.

Liam Jones and Luke Cleary have been recalled, as has energetic small forward Lachie McNeil.

Josh Dolan has been managed, while Nick Coffield and Cooper Hynes have been omitted.

Jones will start at full back and be supported by Lachy Bramble and James O’Donnell.

Cleary and McNeil will start on the bench, alongside Riley Garcia, Caleb Poulter and Bailey Williams.

The sub will be chosen from one of this five an hour before the first bounce.

When the two sides met earlier this season in Gather Round, it was the Lions who prevailed by 21 points despite the Dogs’ 33-point lead at halftime.

The first bounce will be at 7:40pm AEST on Friday night and be broadcast live via Channel 7 and Fox Footy/Kayo.
