A favourite son of the Scray’ isn’t done yet!
Western Bulldogs midfielder Tom Liberatore has extended his career into a 16th season, signing on in the red, white and blue.
The 33-year-old has excelled once again in 2025, averaging 27 touches and six tackles per game, with the vice-captain regularly showing consistency and courage in the midfield.
Recently, Liberatore was rewarded for what continues to be a stellar career by being named in the Greatest 25 Bulldogs of the Last 100 Years.
He has played 255 games, won an AFL premiership and Charles Sutton Medal during his time as a Bulldog.
Liberatore was pleased to continue his amazing journey at Mission Whitten Oval.
“It’s a really exciting time at the Club, Bevo has signed on and so has Marcus, hopefully we can build on that momentum over the next few months and into next year,” Liberatore said.
“It is very special to know I will get the opportunity to play with this group for another season.
“This place means so much to me, having spent much of my life inside the four walls. I’ll continue to give back as much as I can for as long as possible.”
Executive Manager Men’s Football Sam Power was thrilled to have Liberatore remain at the Kennel.
“Tom is a heart and soul player of our football club, with great respect from his teammates, staff, fans and members,” Power said.
“His consistency and willingness to always put the team first stand out, as does his leadership which has gone to new levels over recent years, helping our younger players excel in the men’s program.
“Not only does Tom give everything on the field, but his off-field contribution at the Club will leave a legacy, regularly supporting the Western Bulldogs Community Foundation across different programs.
“We’re so excited to have Tom commit for another season and hopefully he’ll help us continue our search for sustained success at Mission Whitten Oval.”
Liberatore joins skipper Marcus Bontempelli in signing on at the Club in the past month.
