THE Western Bulldogs have partnered with the Herald Sun and the Melbourne Press Club to establish a Fellowship that includes the chance to work with the Club's Media team in honour of late journalist Sam Landsberger.
Landsberger - an award-winning Herald Sun journalist and son of former Club doctor Jake Landsberger - was 35 when he tragically died in 2024.
The Sam Landsberger Sport Journalism Fellowship offers residents of the western suburbs who are school leavers or university graduates an opportunity to immerse themselves in sports reporting and club media.
Western Bulldogs CEO Ameet Bains told the Herald Sun that it was a “great initiative”.
“The club is delighted to play a small part in helping it come to life and you see the Landsberger family has been a key part of the Bulldogs’ family for decades now so to be able to honour Sam’s memory and legacy this way is fantastic,” he said.
The six-month placement will include working with the Bulldogs' Digital, Media & Communications department for two months mid-season along with stints on the Herald Sun's sport desk.
The successful applicant will spend time with and contribute to the Club's Communications, Social Media, Video Production and Digital teams.
Applications are open until Friday 15 May. CLICK HERE FOR FULL DETAILS
