The good, the not so good, the exhilarating, the heartbreaking… we’ve taken a look at the Moments That Mattered during the AFL season.

From now until the full playing group returns for the start of pre-season on November 25, westernbulldogs.com.au will count down 19 moments that had a big impact in 2019.

**

How many games have the Bulldogs won by more than 100 points in the last decade?

One.

Round 21, 2019.

And what a night it was.

The Bulldogs were at their brilliant best, putting Essendon to the sword at Marvel Stadium.

It was the Bombers who kicked the first goal of the game – inside 60 seconds.

But from there, it was all Bulldogs.

We slammed through the next 21 goals – yes, 21 in a row – on the way to a memorable 104-point win, and a percentage boost which had a major impact on our late finals push.

Jack Macrae had 38 disposals, Josh Dunkley 39 and Lachie Hunter 34.

Toby McLean slotted three goals, to go with 22 disposals, and Will Hayes combined two goals with 22 disposals in a career-best game.

Eleven Bulldogs kicked a goal or more – with McLean, Bailey Dale, Josh Schache and Tory Dickson leading the way with three apiece.

It was one of those nights where almost everything seemed to go right.
