The chance to even up their travelling ledger will be a motivating factor when the Dogs head across the border to take on Port Adelaide on Saturday.
The Dogs will travel interstate for the second time this year, after their round nine loss against the Giants in Sydney.
Bulldogs senior coach Luke Beveridge said his side will be doing all in their power to combat Port, and take home their first interstate win of 2016.
“We’ve had one road trip, to Sydney and we didn’t do our best there so we’re zero and one and we’re looking forward to trying to square that up this weekend.
“I think every club and every team who doesn’t travel a lot looks forward to getting away together but doing it right is another thing.
“We haven’t found the perfect way to do it yet so we’ll explore that again this weekend.”
Despite being hungry for the victory, Beveridge said his side are preparing for Port to be at their best.
“They’re almost getting back to that mobile, running team that they were a year or two ago.
“I think Ken and his staff have all done a great job in getting back on track with the changes and now it’s our turn to try to stifle that.
“We’ll be really aware of their run and what they’ve done the last two weeks and we’ll do our best to try and nullify that.”
Although the Dogs will again be without stand-in skipper Easton Wood, and Adelaide Oval presents its own difficulties for a travelling side, Beveridge was confident his playing group would continue to confront challenges head on.
“They’ve stuck to what they know, even in games when things aren’t going that well.
“The coaches and all our staff have done a magnificent job to stay positive and maintain the rage and belief.
“I think the boys are riding each other’s strengths and pushing forward.”
