A strong Williamstown Reserves side defeated Werribee at Chirnside Park by 98 points last Saturday. Williamstown made 6 changes to their side – Jarrad Boumann, Scott Meyer and Malcolm Lynch were dropped from the senior side, Henry White and Josh Young returned from injury and Dean Muir was promoted after playing with Inverleigh. Out of the side went Trent Lee with an ankle injury, Dillon Sharp, Luke Svarc and David Isbister were dropped back to local football and Jordan Roughead and Xavier Gotch were held over to play seniors this week.

A strong breeze favoured one end of the ground and Williamstown was able to kick 16 goals with the wind and 5 against the wind. Werribee was only able to kick 6 goals with the wind and none against the wind.

Dane Rampe underlined his enormous potential with a 31 possession game from his wing and Matthew Cravino continued his fine form. Up forward Dylan Joyce and Malcolm Lynch were effective as small forwards (7 goals between them) and Dean Galea played an excellent team game and kicked 4 goals.

Both Scott Meyer and Jarrad Boumann responded in a positive manner with their demotion and rookie Jamason Daniels improves weekly. Henry White also had a fine game. In the ruck, John Shaw and Jordan Florance played solid games.
