2021 AFL pre-season games confirmed

AFL football will return to VU Whitten Oval for the first time in four years, as part of the 2021 AFL Community Series.

AFL football will return to VU Whitten Oval for the first time in four years, as part of the 2021 AFL Community Series.

The Western Bulldogs’ two pre-season fixtures were confirmed by the AFL today as part of the series, which starts on Thursday 18 February and ends on Sunday 7 March.

Firstly, a regional trip across the NSW border to Lavington awaits the Bulldogs, where they will take on reigning premiers Richmond on Saturday 27 February.

A home game against the Gold Coast Suns in Footscray will follow, on Saturday 6 March.

The Bulldogs’ last pre-season hit-out at VU Whitten Oval was in 2017, against Melbourne.

All 2021 AFL Community Series matches will be broadcast live on FOX FOOTY, Kayo and through the AFL Live App.

Ticketing arrangements for the 2021 AFL Community Series will be advised by the AFL in due course.

AFLW members’ free access for home games

Western Bulldogs AFLW members will be able to access matches at VU Whitten Oval for free next season, despite the League announcing a cost-per-ticket model for the first time.
