Woodville-West Torrens midfielder Lachie McNeil became a Bulldog via pick 11 in the 2020 NAB AFL Rookie Draft. Having been overlooked in the previous draft, the 20-year-old turned his attention to the SANFL competition – playing every senior game for the Eagles, including the premiership win, while averaging 18 disposals and four tackles. A tough on-baller with clean hands and good speed, McNeil reads the ball well and impressed in both of the Bulldogs’ pre-season practice match hit-outs.
