In a year that has seen the Club celebrate 100 years since joining the VFL / AFL, the Western Bulldogs have recorded the highest membership and AFL home attendance tallies in their history.
More than 404,000 people attended Bulldogs home games throughout the AFL season, a more than 10% increase on the previous record set in 2006. Over 100,000 of those attended as Bulldogs members.
The Club averaged a home attendance of 35,729 at Marvel Stadium, the highest of any Marvel Stadium tenant this year and a 9% increase YoY for the Club. The Club also broke its single home match attendance record when 78,027 people turned up at the MCG to watch its Round 2 centenary game against Collingwood.
From a membership perspective the Club saw its fourth consecutive year of record numbers, with more than 65,000 signing up in 2025, marking growth of 29% since 2021.
The Bulldogs have also surpassed 700,000 followers across their social media channels (up 7% year on year), rank in the top 3 for social media video views across the league and have the fastest growing 18-35-year-old audience of any AFL club.
Meanwhile, total broadcast viewership for Bulldogs games across the season was 16.7m across free to air and subscription platforms, a 15.7% increase on 2024.
Bulldogs CEO Ameet Bains said that while it was clearly unfortunate not to be involved in September action, there were plenty of positives for the Club to build upon as it looks forward.
"In an AFL season unlike any we've seen before, it was obviously very disappointing to fall short of our finals expectations," Bains said.
“Rest assured we will be doing everything we can to bridge that gap to ensure we improve next year.
"Throughout the season our fans and members saw some scintillating footy and many outstanding team and individual performances – including from our three All Australians – contributing to exceptional numbers at-match, on broadcast and across our digital channels.
"Our army of members grows in force every year and with their ongoing commitment and belief we will continue our drive towards sustained success.
"I would like to thank everyone who has engaged with our Club in any way throughout this AFL season and hope that your support will continue into 2026.
"In the meantime, I hope the red, white and blue faithful can get behind our minor premier VFL side as they embark on their finals campaign this weekend as well as our exciting W team who face the Hawks on Saturday night as part of a bumper footy double header at Mission Whitten Oval."
