This year has been a year like no other - but there are plenty of moments worth celebrating with 2020 now nearing the end.
We’re counting down 20 of the best football moments from the year – across our AFL and AFLW seasons.

14: Wallis 150
It seems only fitting to acknowledge Mitch Wallis – for his milestone and his season.
In round 18, the father-son Bulldog played his 150th game – in a win against Fremantle, as a finals spot was sealed.
Wallis has had a tough run with injury in recent years – dating back to that leg injury in 2016 - but bounced back to play every game this year, after 40 of a possible 67 over the previous three seasons.
The 28-year-old reinvented himself in 2020 – switching from the midfield role we’ve been accustomed to seeing him in to becoming a dangerous forward.
With 25 majors in 2020, he was the Bulldogs’ leading goalkicker.
13: The Goalfest
In what soon became the final home-and-away round of the 2020 AFLW season, the Bulldogs’ round six clash against Fremantle went down in the history books – literally.
With no crowds allowed in due to the threat of COVID-19 looming, the two teams arguably played one of the greatest AFLW matches to date.
Despite the Bulldogs falling 15 points short of their second victory, the 10.6 (66) to 8.3 (51) result set the record as the highest aggregate score – 117 points - between two AFLW sides.
Unfortunately there was no opportunity for the Bulldogs to bounce back the following week, with the competition abandoned and no premier awarded.
12: Naughty’s got six-appeal
Young gun Aaron Naughton produced something special against the Adelaide Crows in round 12.
The key forward was unstoppable, helping himself to a career-best six goals in the Bulldogs’ 57-point win.
Playing largely on All Australian defender Daniel Talia, Naughton stole the show in his second game back from an ankle injury.
He had three goals by quarter time and finished with six marks inside 50 – including three contested.
