The red, white and blue faithful have shown their support for the AFLW Bulldogs in 2021, breaking the Club’s overall AFLW membership record.

The Western Bulldogs hit 2,177 members on Wednesday morning – surpassing the previous record set in 2018, following the Bulldogs’ inaugural AFLW premiership.

That figure is expected to rise further, with over half of the 2021 NAB AFLW season still to play out.

It’s an incredible show of support for the AFLW Bulldogs, who have played in two sold-out matches so far in 2021 and recorded back-to-back wins over the past fortnight.

Western Bulldogs CEO, Ameet Bains, thanked all members for their ongoing passion and dedication to growing the game.

“We are so thankful to have broken our overall AFLW membership record and we’re appreciative of our Bulldogs faithful for supporting and sticking with us this season,” Bains said.

“Considering all the challenges and uncertainty we continue to face in the AFLW landscape, to have 2,177 members already signed on only four weeks into the 2021 season is something we are incredibly proud of.

“We absolutely love having our red, white and blue family in the stands at VU Whitten Oval, and hope we can welcome you all back again for our remaining home games this season.”

The Bulldogs will be looking to record their third consecutive win on Sunday afternoon, when they return to VU Whitten Oval for a round four Hampson-Hardeman Cup battle against the undefeated Melbourne.

While the AFL awaits State Government advice as to whether crowds will be permitted, you can still show your support for the AFLW Bulldogs by signing up as a member for as little as $50 per adult.
